Carbon footprint by SKU and by shipment, not just by product.
Xain issues the carbon footprint by reference, SKU, colour, destination or shipment, not only by product family. Every certificate carries a unique registration number and traceability down to the factor of each node, and it can be requested by email, through the web platform or by API.
How it works
What levels of detail are supported?
Reference or SKU
The footprint of each variant in the catalogue.
Colour
When the finish changes the process or the material.
Destination
When transport is part of the result the customer needs.
Shipment
A certificate tied to a specific delivery.
Many data requests do not refer to a generic product, but to a specific reference delivered to a specific customer. A certificate per family forces averaging; one per SKU or per shipment reflects what is actually made and sent.
How does it stay traceable?
All certificates come from the same engine and the same process tree. Each one carries a unique registration number, so whoever receives it can check which product it belongs to and follow the calculation down to the factor of each node.
How does it fit into your operations?
You can request certificates by email, from the web platform or with the REST API integrated with your ERP.
If what you need is the certificate for a single product, start with the page on product carbon footprint.
Frequently asked questions
What companies usually ask before getting started.
Why does granularity matter?
Because two references in the same family can differ in material, colour or destination, and the customer asking for the data usually needs the figure for what they receive.
How do I request a per-shipment certificate?
By email, through the web platform or by integrating Xain with your ERP through the REST API.

Product footprint
Certify your product’s carbon footprint with an ISO 14067 method verified by LRQA, from your technical documentation, with registration and traceability.
For suppliers
If your customer asks for the carbon footprint of your product, Xain calculates it from your technical documentation, with no rollout and an ISO 14067 method.
Process tree
The process tree is the structure that breaks a product type down into its materials and operations, so that every node carries its own physical factor.
